BarrettSF just celebrated its fifth year in the business, a milestone punctuated by wins of all nine of its new business pitches for clients including the Oakland A's, Zappos and Walmart. For Walmart, the agency created the retailer's first-ever employee branding campaign, which targeted its 2.4 million worldwide staffers. Full of colorful iconography, it featured the tagline, "This is that place."
The agency also brought a twist to the introspective storytelling that's become a convention of video-game ads with a funny spot for FoxNext's "Marvel Strike Force," and delivered a sweet holiday campaign for Cost Plus starring a boy and his llama posse, which the agency says helped grow brand awareness 5 percent from the previous six months.
The agency's revenue in 2017 jumped to $5.5 million from $4.8 million the previous year, the company says, and is on pace to hit $7 million in 2018.
