Charlton Heston, until now only the narrator in some Anheuser-Busch advertising, is making his first appearance in a Bud Light spot as a tongue-in-cheek adviser to the "I love you, man" actor. The spot, from DDB Needham Worldwide, Chicago, breaks on NBC's Super Bowl telecast Jan. 28. Mr. Heston takes the "I love you, man" character aside and demonstrates how to deliver the line more dramatically.
Pepsi-Cola Co., Somers, N.Y., said it will unveil new commercials in its"Nothing else is a Pepsi" campaign on the Super Bowl telecast. The campaign, which began on last year's Super Bowl, depicts consumers going to extraordinary lengths to get their Pepsi. Six new commercials back flagship Pepsi brand and one touts Diet Pepsi.
