See the Spot: Dunder Mifflin's Scranton-Only Super Bowl Ad

Once-Fictional Company Runs Real Spot for Real Products

By Published on .

Dunder Mifflin is the name of the fictional paper-products company in NBC sitcom "The Office." It's also the name of actual paper products marketed by Staples' Quill.com via a licensing agreement with NBC. The latter is getting an ad during the Super Bowl. Well, not a real national ad, but a local one slated to run in the Scranton, Pa., market -- where "The Office" is set.

The spot, "Paper War," was the result of a crowd-sourcing contest run on the Tongal crowd-sourcing platform, in partnership with Olson. The winner was Freddy Rabbath of Tallahassee, Fla.
