"The Big Bang Theory's" Johnny Galecki will star in one of Hyundai's two Super Bowl commercials.
In the 30-second spot, titled "Nice," Mr. Galecki will drive a new 2014 Elantra. An attractive woman pulls up next to him in the exact same Elantra and he compliments her on their shared good taste.
"Nice ride," he says.
When the light turns green the two try to flirtatiously one-up each other, which leads to some chaos and surprises, including an explosion and car jump. Comedian Richard Lewis will make an appearance as Mr. Galecki's passenger.
The spot was created by Hyundai's agency-of-record, Innocean.
This is the first time Mr. Galecki has endorsed a product or brand on air, according to Hyundai.
Last year, Mr. Galecki's "Big Bang" co-star, Kaley Cuoco, appeared in Toyota's Super Bowl spot playing the "RAV4 Genie" who grants wishes for a family.
This is Hyundai's seventh consecutive year advertising in the Super Bowl. The auto maker will also air another 30-second spot comparing its Genesis luxury sedan to the sixth sense of a parent during the game.
