DETROIT (AdAge.com) -- Ford Motor Co.'s Lincoln brand said it will make its first Super Bowl ad appearance next year in more than a decade to generate early buzz for a new luxury truck.
Lincoln's 30-second spot will hype the new Mark LT luxury truck.

Young & Rubicam
Lincoln's ad agency, WPP Group's Young & Rubicam Brands, in Dearborn, Mich., is creating a 30-second commercial for the all-new 2006 Lincoln Mark LT that will air during the first half of the game.

The agency also created accompanying print executions that will appear pre- and post-Super Bowl editions of USA Today and Sports Illustrated. The TV ad also will have a digital extension on a Web site, www.lincoln.com, beginning Super Bowl Sunday.

Feb. 6
The National Football League's -- and the advertising industry's -- big game takes place Feb. 6, 2005, in Jacksonville, Fla., and will air on Fox.

The Mark LT prelaunch campaign kicks off tomorrow at lincoln.com with a "Jet to Jacksonville" offering the chance to win a trip for two to the Florida city. The Mark LT will also be the exclusive automotive sponsor of the Sports Illustrated Super Swimsuit Party in Jacksonville Feb. 5. Sweepstakes winners will also receive tickets to the swimsuit party and the magazine's pregame tailgate party.
