Great Times were had at HSI in 2010, at least by veteran Michael Haussman, who directed the big ticket anthem spot for Anomaly's new Budweiser campaign. The high profile spot depicts the moments of prep that augur fun and festivities, sort of a "Before," for drinking and partying.
Ryan Ebner helped German-American icon David Hasselhoff usher in his career's third or fourth act, directing him (and Dolph Lundgren) in a campaign for Norton security software out of Leo Burnett Chicago. Meanwhile, Simon Cole upped the ante on the industry's favorite ball gag directing a follow up to the award winning Axe Clean Your Balls viral. The spot depicts a faux press conference addressing the original's naughty subtext and asks the immortal, inevitable question, "What about my ballsack?" The Malloy's brought viewers to the tiny, newly wired town of Tangier for ESPN and Casey Niestat, in addition to completing the first season of his HBO series with brother Van, shot a series of mini documentaries for CAA Marketing and Mitchum's The Hardest Working Person in America campaign. Josephn Kahn, meanwhile, could have been in the running for hardest working person in America, directing, among other spots, a man parade heralding the introduction of Burger King breakfast through CB+B and a chav-tastic drag race for Pot Noodle through Mother London, in addition to the incendiary video for Eminem + Rihanna's Love the Way You Lie, all while working on his new film, Detention.
