Rattling Stick

The talents of this British powerhouse lived up to their name, shaking the industry with some of the year's most memorable commercials. Daniel Kleinman, via the shop's tie up with Epoch, shot a slew of major U.S. client work, for Coca-Cola, P&G and Volkswagen. Acoss the Atlantic, he made big, comedic moves for Specsavers in the bikini-strewn "Specs Effect" spot, Travelodge's "Sleep Tight," starring thuggish Teddies, and spots for John Smith's starring pitchman Peter Kay, out of TBWA London and showed soccer stars their match in a World Cup spot for Pepsi, out of CLM BBDO, Paris. A change of tone came from Ringan Ledwidge, who turned on the poignant charm in a father-daughter love story for Vodafone while Sara Dunlop managed to disturb, and educate, with Where is Your Line, an interactive film for The Havens, which asks viewers to determine at which point a young woman's drunken hook up crossed over into rape.
