A young man goes in search of a sign that will guide him to manhood, and returns to the village elder with a videogame, TV and cool clothes in a spot from Discover Financial Services. The commercial is one of three new TV ads in the first Discover Card campaign created by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco (AA, Sept. 20). The young man treks from his mountain village and ends up in Times Square, where the "sign" of Discover is omnipresent. Copywriter: Sharon Tao. Art director: Tyler Magnusson.
