THE BIG PUSH: Buddy rebuffs villains for Lee jeans

Published on .

The Minnesota Vikings' John Randle, clad in furs as the villainous "Roy," challenges spokesdoll and "man of action" Buddy Lee to a fight in a spot breaking this fall for Lee jeans. Roy tries to zap Buddy with a laser, but the ray hits a rivet on the jeans and sears off Roy's beard instead. The new commercials that Fallon, Minneapolis, created for VF Corp. begin with a videogame-style opening and are followed by pictures of Lee painter and fashion jeans. Viewers are urged to continue the video battle at buddylee.com. Copywriter: Linus Karlsson. Art director: Paul Malmstrom.
