The Big Push: Fact and friction from Discovery.com

Published on .

A small shower of campy meteors discuss all the discoveries they've made on Discovery.com in a commercial for Discovery Communications' Web site. Those helpful hints include how to cure dandruff and the fact that meteors burn up in Earth's atmosphere -- they then get first-hand experience of the latter lesson. Publicis & Hal Riney, San Francisco, created the campaign, tagged "Discover something new every day." The advertising is running on TV, print and online -- part of a reported $70 million effort for 2000. Copywriter: Mike McCommon. Art director: Roger Camp.
