THE BIG PUSH: Herbal Essences makes courtroom appeal

Published on .

There's some disorder in the court as a lawyer slips into an Herbal Essences fantasy in a commercial created for Clairol by Kaplan Thaler Group, New York. The shower comes to the "Yes! Yes! Yes!" woman after the judge urges her to continue her argument. The word "urge" triggers the sequence in which a bevy of beefcake arrives to shampoo the attorney's hair. Dr. Ruth Westheimer returns to Herbal Essences advertising, popping up as a spectator at the end and saying, "I hope those boys show up for the body wash." Copywriter: Tom Amico. Art director: Eric David.
