Graphics are the star in two commercials for Kimberly-Clark Corp.'s Kotex. Against a white background and black type, a pesky red dot inserts itself between various terms -- such as "yo-yo," "hot date" and "prom" -- as a metaphor for how a period can be an uninvited, emotion-laden occurrence. The dot's final bounce lands it at the end of the tagline: "Kotex fits. Period." Ogilvy & Mather, Chicago, created this playful approach to feminine protection ads. Charlex, New York, handled the graphics. Copywriters: Jennifer Bach, Tracy Bowman. Art director: Elizabeth Cavanaugh.
