The Big Push: McD's backs puppies, chow to kids

Published on .

Just in time for parents to trip over during the holidays, McDonald's Corp. will distribute 102 dog toys in Happy Meals for its "102 Dalmations" motion picture tie-in with Walt Disney Pictures. Not to leave out the tween-agers, the Golden Arches also will distribute Yomega yo-yos with older kids' meals. Five spots promoting the deals from McDonald's roster of agencies, including Leo Burnett USA, Chicago (r.), broke Nov. 19 and run on such programming as ABC's "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and CBS' "Judging Amy." Copywriter/art director: Steven Simoncec.
