THE BIG PUSH: Visa's kangaroo pockets Olympic gold

Published on .

An Australian, appropriately, wins a come-from-behind victory in the triathlon in a spot for Visa International, a sponsor of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. That Australian athlete, however, happens to be a kangaroo. It turns out to be the marsupial's dream, but Visa says people can make their dreams of going to the Games come true by using the card. BBDO Worldwide, New York, created the :60, which broke last week. Flying Tiger Films, Santa Monica, Calif., used more than 200 extras to re-create a triathlon. Copywriter: Jimmy Siegel. Art director: Rick Hanson.
