Discovery Networks' Animal Planet breaks an estimated $3 million to $5 million TV campaign on major cable networks and spot TV on Feb. 26, themed "Life is Better With Animals." The zany vignettes show animals in people's homes. A spot dubbed "A Gorilla in the House" shows a giant ape acting as a baby sitter and "A Roo in the Loo" features a kangaroo using her pouch to deliver magazines to a man in his bathroom. Boutique shop Hungry Man, New York, created the campaign; Creative Media, New York, placed media.
