Daring pairings from Salon.com

Published on .

A stable of startling couples graces a ballroom soiree in the first national TV campaign for Salon.com. Computer-generated heads are pasted to bodies, creating such pairings as Linda Tripp and Chris Rock, and Pope John Paul II and Courtney Love, all of whom have been profiled in the Webzine. Odiorne Wilde Narraway & Partners, San Francisco, created the $4 million campaign, now in the midst of a 10-week run on the Big 4 networks and cable. Copywriter: Jim Lansbury. Art director: Erich Pfiefer.
