RCA defines its contributions to TV

Published on .

RCA reminds viewers of its tradition of introducing new technology -- the TV, the color TV, digital satellite TV and now high-definition TV -- in a :30 from Thomson Consumer Electronics. Curious Pictures, New York, and London-based artists collective Tomato used archival RCA footage in parts of the commercial, which was produced in HDTV format. RCA is in the midst of its biggest-ever ad push, an estimated $35 million in spending via Lowe Lintas & Partners Worldwide, New York (AA, Dec. 13). Copywriter: Doug James. Art director: Niko Courtelis.
