Who Plays R2-D2 in VW's "The Bark Side?"

Last week, Volkswagen and Deutsch, Los Angeles, released their Super Bowl teaser spot, "The Bark Side," featuring a dozen dogs yelping out a canine version of "The Imperial March," aka "Darth Vader's Theme." The web has been speculating as to which pup plays which intergalactic icon, but we've got the full lowdown here, courtesy of Jerome Austria, group creative director at Deutsch, L.A. Read more about how Volkswagen conducted its canine chorus in behind the work.

Leia: Maestro, a Papillon
Luke: Wall-E, a Jack Russell Terrier mix
Darth Vader: Dexter, a Black Labrador Retriever
Chewbacca: Gus, a Yorkshire Terrier/Affenpinscher mix
Yoda: Chester, a Chihuahua
Stormtrooper: Archie, an English Bulldog
Ewok: an Affenpinscher/Yorkshire Terrier/Terrier mix (pure guess, as he is a street dog)
Han Solo: Ruger, a Border Collie/Staffordshire Terrier mix
Rancor Monster: Isabella, a Pug
Obi Wan: Duke, a Vizsla
C3-PO: Huck, a Podengo
AT-AT: Boo, a Whippet
R2-D2? And where in the world is R2-D2? "R2-D2 is kind of hard to replicate in a dog; sorry R2-D2," said Mr. Austria. Disagree? Send us your Dog-2D2 pics and we'll see if we can prove VW and Deutsch wrong.
