NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- AKQA co-Chief Creative Officer Lars Bastholm is leaving the agency for Ogilvy North America, where he will assume the role of chief creative officer for digital for North America.
He will report to Ogilvy's head of global digital creative, Jan Leth, and work with Ogilvy North America Chief Digital Officer J.P. Maheu.
Mr. Bastholm has spent four years at AKQA and, before that, worked in several Scandinavian agencies, including Grey Interactive in Scandinavia and Framfab in Copenhagen. Mr. Bastholm will head the cyber Lions jury in Cannes this year.
Carla Hendra, CEO of Ogilvy North America, said the appointment is an investment in the fastest-growing part of the agency's business and praised Mr. Bastholm as "the hottest digital creative talent in our industry."
