BET-Bruising 'Boondocks' Episodes Banned

Cartoon Shows Net Execs Trying to 'Destroy Black People'

By Published on .

I don't jump into the discussion here often, but I figured I'd flag this about the lastest chapter in the ongoing Aaron McGruder-BET war. It could very well be some sort of publicity stunt on the part of Cartoon Network, but the network has made two "Boondocks" episodes -- episodes highly critical of BET executives -- disappear from the schedule. Read the whole story. In a previous post, Laura Martinez got a lot of flack for calling a lot of Hispanic TV programming garbage. McGruder's views are much stronger -- as made clear in this clip from one of the banned episodes, in which BET execs state their mission explicity as trying to destroy black people. YouTube clip here. (Content warning: language and violence.)
