In an unsuprising turn, Wieden + Kennedy/London's "Cog," for Honda U.K., captured Best of Show honors at the International Automotive Advertising Awards last month. The spot, directed by Partizan's Antoine Bardou-Jaquet, also took three Gold Triomphes in the Television category, as well as technical kudos for sound design and direction. Among Gold winners in the Print category were Infiniti catalog work via The Designory; David & Goliath's calendar posters for Kia; and Michael Furman's photo book, "Motorcars of the Classic Era," published by Harry N. Abrams. Silver Triomphe TV winners included Carmichael Lynch's "Sound," for Porsche; Arnold's Touareg campaign for Volkswagen; Goodby, Silverstein & Partners for Saturn; Modernista for Hummer; Rubin Postaer & Associates for Honda; Springer & Jacoby for Daimler Chrysler in Europe; TBWA/Chiat/Day for Nissan; and Saatchi & Saatchi/L.A. for Toyota cinema spots. In domestic print, Silver Triomphes went to Arnold for Volkswagen and McKinney + Silver for Audi. TBWA/Chiat/Day picked up Silver Print Triomphes for Infiniti, Nissan and Pennzoil.
