Cinema Amazonia

By Ad Published on .

RSA Films and Fallon Worldwide have leapt from BMW to a whole virtual mall of products with a new online film series for Amazon.com, launched last month. Dubbed "Amazon Theater," the weekly releases traverse a spectrum of genres and styles while centering on the theme of karma-comedic charmers from Jordan and Jake Scott, artsy thrillers from Tony Scott and David Slade, as well as a warped payback tale from Acne. Starring well-known actors like Minnie Driver, Chris Noth, and Blair Underwood, each short ends with rolling clickable credits that link viewers to talent sites and products that are casually featured in the film, including a drum set, a pipe wrench and body wash. Oddly enough, given Amazon's bookish history, there's not one volume in the mix.
