Hornet's MTV How-to Guide

One of the only palatable things about the MTV Video Music Awards this year was the series of droll, pared down "Instructoart" animations created by design shop Hornet. The project features several quotidian yet still strange human rituals - armpit farting, butt patting, T-shirt wearing - presented as earnest how-to animations that recollect airline seat-pocket literature. Capping off the low-key charm of the spots is some suitable nerdy music, courtesy of Metatechnik, New York. Hornet creative director Eng San Kho worked with "Instructoart" creator Matt Vescovo on the project.
