The Creativity Production Index, the average number of spots produced by a sample of agency offices, continued to slump in September. After a slight surge in August, the index dipped to 10.4, recording a fifth straight month of year-to-year setbacks. Through September, the annual CPI is also lagging slightly behind a year ago: 13.1, compared to the 14.0 recorded for the first nine months of 2003.
