August saw a dip in production after a slightly busier July, dropping to 10.3 spots per agency from 11.4. The Creativity Production Index-the average number of spots produced by a sample of agency offices-showed some promise earlier in the summer, but continued the downward trend that started in April after a busy March. In the first eight months of the year, the CPI holds steady from last month at 12.1, with the 12-month average at 11.2.
