Ground Zero creative partner Court Crandall, who boasts a story credit on the 2003 comedy hit Old School, has written his first children's book, Hugville, for the 3-6 set. Published by Random House and illustrated by Joe Murray of Rocko's Modern Life (Nickelodeon) and Camp Lazlo (Cartoon Network) fame, the playful tale, inspired by his too-old-for-hugs son, says Crandall, portrays a town where hugs are the main occupation and recreation. In the course of the story we're introduced to a wide range of hug variations, including the Monkey Hug, the Octopus Hug, the Tornado Hug, the Itchy Dog Hug and the Phone Hug: "The Phone Hug's for huggers who live far away/It's not what you do, but more what you say." Buy a book and phone Crandall and he'll "fly to your house and sign it," he laughs. You'll probably get a hug, too.
