Charlie Hebdo Cover in Wake of Paris Attacks Is Truly Stunning

Defiant Statement From the French Satirical Newspaper

By Published on .

On French newsstands today: the latest issue of satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, with a truly stunning cover that comes in the wake of Friday's terror attacks. Released in advance on Twitter by columnist Mathieu Madénian, the cover shows a cartoon Frenchman both drinking champagne and leaking it -- from multiple bulletholes on his torso and legs -- above and below a headline that translates to "They have the arms. Fuck them. We have the Champagne!"

Friday's multiple attacks in Paris were not far from Charlie Hebdo's headquarters, the site of a murderous terror attack in January. In the wake of that horror, Charlie Hebdo released a similarly stunning and defiant cover.
