It's come to this: Ice-T -- who somehow transitioned from '90s rap infamy (i.e., remember his track "Cop Killer"?) to an acting career (playing a detective on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit") -- now has his own reality show, "Ice Loves Coco," starting this Sunday, June 12, at 10:30/9:30 C on E! The series tracks his relationship with what E!'s promo materials alternately call his "gorgeous" and "outrageous" wife Nicole "Coco" Austin, a former swimsuit model. Or, to put it another way (as E! does):
She's hot as a pistol. He's the epitome of cool. Are you ready to take the temp of Hollywood's most smokin' couple?
Well, um, I guess... sure! (Especially if there's a chance Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay might drop by the house for pool parties and stuff.)
We're presenting the brief "Ice Loves Coco" preview trailers below as part of our ongoing MediaWorks Guide to Summer TV -- a series of video cheat sheets to help stay on top of the dozens of new shows on TV this summer. (Previously: a contestant on "The Glee Project" proclaims "My talent is the way I flip my hair.") The first "Ice Loves Coco" trailer explains how the lovebirds met; in the second, Ice-T explains, with great conviction, how you can tell when "a female wants you."
