No doubt you've been following the recent news about all the behind-the-scenes drama surrounding one of TV's best shows, so you know that "Mad Men" is, in fact, coming back for a fifth season (and then a sixth, possibly final, season after that). But it'll take awhile. As my colleague Andrew Hampp reported last week, the deal that "Mad Men" auteur Matthew Weiner reached with AMC and Lionsgate won't give us new episodes until March 2012 at the earliest.
To help you get your Don Draper fix until then, I've got a special Media Guy Pop Pick giveaway of "Mad Men" Season 4 for you. The team at Lionsgate is kindly supplying three copies of the DVD box set as well as three copies of the Blu-ray box set for this informal giveaway (so six winners in all), as a way of reminding everyone that both are newly available in stores (and on Amazon and other online merchants). The three-disc sets include all 13 episodes of the fourth season, plus special features including:
- How To Succeed In Business Draper Style
- Divorce: Circa 1960s
- Marketing the Mustang: An American Classic
- 1964 Presidential Campaign
- Audio commentaries on all 13 episodes
Cigarettes and martinis sold separately.
THE FINE PRINT: To enter the random drawing in this informal Media Guy's Pop Pick giveaway, send me an email with "Mad Men Season 4 DVD" in the subject line or send me an email with "Mad Men Season 4 Blu-ray" in the subject line. (Pick one or the other, folks. Please don't be greedy and enter both drawings.) Entering more than once will not increase your odds. You have until May 1, 2011 to enter (the cut-off is the end of the day at 12 midnight EDT). You must have a valid U.S. mailing address and be 18 or older.
