Meet the Stanley Kubrick of Cat Videos

She's Shula Von Hollow and She Changed the World

By Published on .

Today at the second annual Internet Cat Video Festival, "Cats on Film" (embedded below) is making its world premiere. The short (3:46) documentary offers a fascinating look at one of the pioneers of the art form. Per the doc's description, "She's been directing cat videos for fifteen years and you may not even know her name. She's Shula Von Hollow and she's the industry's premiere cat video auteur."

OK, fine. Shula Von Hollow doesn't actually exist. She's the creation of author/performer Julie Klausner. But the Internet Cat Video Festival is a real thing -- I swear!
