For anyone who saw the list of Video of the Year nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards, the inclusion of "D.A.N.C.E." by French techno duo Justice probably came as a surprise.
Magical hipster shirts.
Magical hipster shirts.

But those who've actually seen the striking three-minute clip can testify it more than holds its own.

In the video, two faceless hipsters are seen strutting around an anonymous city wearing T-shirts whose designs refresh themselves and shape shift into various words and objects.

There are also several sequences in which the words of the song's kiddie chorus are splashed across the screen -- and the hipsters' magical shirts -- to the beat of the infectious French groove. Justice already has one MTV Moonman to its credit -- from its controversial win over Kanye West for the "We Are Your Friends" video at last year's MTV Europe Awards. Having just watched "D.A.N.C.E." for the 10th time, I think it's time Kanye started bracing himself for another MTV video letdown.
