See 'SNL' Open With Tribute to Paris in Wake of Terror Attacks

'Paris is the City of Light. And Here in New York City, We Know That Light Will Never Go Out'

By Published on .

In lieu of its usual comedic cold open, "Saturday Night Live" this weekend offered viewers a brief, touching tribute to Paris in the wake of Friday's terror attacks. Cast member Cecily Strong, speaking directly into the camera from the "SNL" stage, said, "Paris is the City of Light. And here in New York City, we know that light will never go out. Our love and support is with everyone there tonight. We stand with you." She then repeated those words in French.
