To close out the week, here's a special installment of MediaWorks TV -- our recurring series of enlightening and entertaining (OK, mostly just entertaining) video clips of interest to media people.
There's certainly been no shortage of serious, in-depth coverage of News Corp.'s phone-hacking scandal, but once again we're dependent on Stephen Colbert to really get to the heart of the matter through satire; he's been at the top of his game lately with his laugh-out-loud deconstructions of Hackgate. This week, our favorite bits from "The Colbert Report" came on Monday (the first clip below; jump ahead to 1:48), when Stephen tortured Fox News for its breathtakingly lame coverage of its parent company's troubles, and Wednesday (the second clip; jump to 0:50), when he explained how Rupert Murdoch got humanized by ... a pie. Watch to the end to find out what else Stephen Colbert thinks we should hit Rupert with -- you know, to further humanize him.
