Making its brand debut on the chart is Danish beer company Carlsberg with its "That Calls For a Carlsberg" spot, topping 3.1 million views. Created by the Belgian agency Duval Guillaume Modem and launched at the end of September, the video shows various bewildered-looking couples entering a movie theater in Brussels and finding there are only two seats left in a room filled with menacing bikers. When the couples eventually work up the nerve to sit down, everyone cracks open a Carlsberg, hands them a beer, and starts applauding.
Also new to the chart this week is a Wieden + Kennedy spot for Old Spice - but not starring the inimitable "Old Spice Guy" with his exquisite abs. Coming in at No. 4 with 1.3 million views, "Smell Better Than Yourself" promotes Old Spice's Swagger product line and stars a sea captain who tells the audience that he doesn't really battle sea monsters, have well-oiled abs, or have gold bullion spilling from his pants (though all of these things are simulated), but he smells like he does.
At No. 7 with 800,000 views, the last new entrant to the list is British cereal Weetabix's "Fuel for Fun" by Bartle Bogle Hegarty's London shop. Promoting the Chocolate Spoonsize cereal, the spot features 10-year-old Arizona Snow, winner of a street dance competition in the U.K., showing off her moves along with a set of animated dancing teddy bears.
