NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- There's fresh blood on the Viral Video Chart this week, with a whopping five new videos that snagged enough views to break into the top 10. But last week's big No. 1 debut, the Vodafone spot featuring animated characters called "Zoozoos," had enough momentum to maintain its position. In fact, the campaign, out of India, grew 85% off an already significant base.
So who's new? The debuts included Nike Basketball's puppet version of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant's playoff rivalry, which dropped in at the No. 2 spot, and Frito-Lay's Mother's Day version of its animated "Woman's World" series, which snagged the No. 3 spot. Coca-Cola's latest "Open Happiness" spot nabbed the No. 7 spot, and Bontrust's naughty little money-themed ditty made its debut at No. 8. A warning: It is not your average banking commercial.
The Nos. 4 and 5 spots were both from T-Mobile. Visible Measures, which compiles the data for the chart, separated the original "Dance" spot from a new spot in which hundreds of people belt out a collective "Hey Jude" in Trafalgar Square. Both are part of the "Life's for Sharing" campaign, but they are decidedly distinctive spots, and the idea was to better allow people to see how the second major spot was invigorating the remarkably sticky campaign.
