A mashup of Gangnam Style and Call Me Maybe, two of the year's most viral -- and parodied -- videos, is a big hit. Imagine that !

Rewind YouTube Style, basically a giant ad for the service, has owned the spot on the Viral Chart for two weeks running. It accumulated another 21.4 million views last week making its grand total 72.6 million views since December 18.

The song stylings of Psy and Carly Rae Jepsen provide the soundtrack for YouTube to feature some of its biggest stars -- like RealAnnoyingOrange, iJustine, and Felicia Day -- re-enacting some of 2012's biggest events, like the Red Bull Stratosphere Dive and Curiosity's landing on Mars.

Again, with that kind of star power, it's no wonder the video has taken off so quickly. Then again, it's no surprise. YouTube is pretty good at making videos ... for YouTube.

Google has owned the Chart as of late. In addition to YouTube's Rewind YouTube Style, Google's videos for both Google Search App and Google+ Hangouts are No. 3 and No. 7, respectively.
