Duracell, US Army Bring Patriotic Tone to Viral Video Chart

Duracell: The Teddy Bear

Fourth of July advertadvertising gave the armed services a strong presence this week in our Viral Video chart, which tracks views of campaigns in the week ending each Sunday, as compiled by Visible Measures.

After a while, recordings never seem to live up to the real thing. That's true even when it's the voice of a little girl's dad, recorded from his overseas deployment, as seen in Duracell's "The Teddy Bear," which is based on a true story and premiered at No. 2 this week.

The father-daugher theme returns in the newcomer at No. 8, which celebrates a "moment of independence" made possible by the Army: Fourth of July fireworks.

Meanwhile at No. 6, Nike's "Find your fast" combines nearly every athlete imaginable into a 90-second spot. Kobe Bryant, Odell Beckham Jr., Serena Williams and even the Road Runner show up to remind us that they'll always be faster than the rest of us (although maybe, it's implied, it has something to do with the shoes).
