Pizza category leader Pizza Hut is prepping a deep-dish pie called The Chicago Dish and Little Caesars is readying its own deep dish pizza. Pizza Hut has also begun touting its combo meals online and is experimenting with Cinnaparts dessert and Grabbers breadsticks.

Domino's recently launched Buffalo Chicken Kickers chicken strips, making it first to market the whole breast fillets at 10 pieces for $5.99. No. 3 pizza player Papa John's launched Papa's Chickenstrips, six chicken fillets sold as a combo with a large, one-topping pizza for $13.99. Other items that could follow Domino's Kickers are Pizza Dots, bite-size cheesy dough with sauces.
