A Nerd Who'll Be Heard

Published on .

In a spot that manages to mix a great performance with sharp sight gags, we get a Rushmore-style collegiate preppy nerd who benefits mightily from his way cool Kyocera Slider cell phone, while still remaining a sorely put upon preppy nerd. Hotties insult him, jocks pummel him, punks undress him, but he never loses his dignity. An auspicious comedy showing from director Jason Reitman, who, not so coincidentally, is the son of comedy features mensch Ivan Reitman.
