Animal Magnetism

Published on .

Yeah, talking animals are so old, but when the scripts are good they work like a charm, and the scripts are always good on the California Cheese business. Now we have a huge flock of Scots-accented sheep whining about their "hot, sweaty, itchy existence," planning an attack of a pair of cows, only to be foiled by a lone dog. Then there are bulls peeping at the cows through a hole in the barn wall, while the ladies make girl talk, carrying on about how they like their studs with "pierced flaring nostrils" and "wide-set horns." Note to Eisner: is this a Disney film or what?
