"In the creative community, 'headhunter' usually conjures up negative connotations," notes Dave Federico, a creative at Toronto agency John St., where credits are verboten. "Creatives care about one thing: the work. And when you do ads they notice and appreciate, it puts you on their radar as someone who actually gets it." Well, this prospective employee sure got it. " 'Headhunter' is a term that has been avoided lately in favor of 'creative recruiter' and 'creative placement'," notes bold client John Hall. "But rather than run from the label, we just decided to redefine it." Federico says this is the agency's first national (Canadian) campaign. Break a leg, guys.
