MTV takes irony to absurd levels in a campaign called "Defend!" Beyond-square subjects (whose bizarre accents make them seem even more alien) show tragic young people led astray by normally harmless acts considered to be the teachings of "the MTV." One guy orders a steak large enough for two people, while others betray their "tabble [sic] tennis" game in order to dance. In these mock-instructional videos, the innocuous becomes baffling-and downright weird.
