How do you liven up the annual load of predictably boring football promos? FCB/San Francisco hit upon a brainstorm for the NFL on Fox: add animation, graphics and illustration to the gridiron footage and you've got something that actually looks exciting. Motion Theory and Brand New School were tapped for parts of a five-spot package, and in all cases the results are oddly riveting, as if a bunch of clever kids discovered a new rotoscoping technology. Too bad they can't they do this during the actual game. Actually, on Fox they probably can.
