Motorola has unveiled the Pebl, the long-awaited follow-up to the ultra-thin Razr cellphone, in an epic spot directed by David Fincher. Playing off the Pebl's smooth and rounded oval shape, the spot begins with a cataclysmic meteor strike thousands of years in the past, and follows the dramatic shaping of the landscape over time. A piece of the original meteor eventually falls into a rushing river, the currents bombarding its rough edges and molding it for centuries until it washes up on shore in the form of a cellphone-proving, apparently, that the Pebl is truly a force of nature.
