Armani makes owls stars of campaign

[Milan, Italy] Two global print and outdoor ads featuring owls wearing Emporio Armani sunglasses have captivated Italians, who are collecting the Armani ads and postcard versions handed out at clubs, bars and restaurants. In one black-and-white print ad by Italy's largest ad agency, Armando Testa, Milan, the line "Daywear for night owls" runs below the picture of the female owlet, Edwige. In the other ad, male owl Merlino's line is, "That's what the girls like: a real head turner." In Italy, the two popular owls also appear in a quick 10-second commercial with the same taglines plus owl hoots. In the U.S., the owl ads have run in The New York Times and on a billboard in Manhattan.
