Carrefour biz goes to Havas

By Published on .

[Paris] French retailer Carrefour Group, one of the country's largest advertisers, is moving its $180 million corporate communications account for France to Havas from Publicis Groupe, a Havas spokesman said. In a review that reached the holding company level, the Havas pitch was coordinated by Mercedes Erra, chairman of Euro RSCG France and president of BETC Euro RSCG, and pulled in Havas chairman-CEO Alain de Pouzilhac and executives from marketing services companies. Havas pitched against Publicis and WPP Group. Media buying will be assigned to Havas' Media Planning Group.
