Fallon enters Japan with Gram

By Published on .

[Tokyo] Publicis's Fallon Worldwide opened an office in Japan, the world's No. 2 ad market, in a joint venture with Gram Advertising, already Fallon's strategic partner in that country. The Tokyo office is Fallon's seventh, including Minneapolis; New York; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Singapore; Hong Kong; and London. Fallon, Tokyo, will be run by the two admen who founded Gram in 2000, Tamio Koshino, as president-chief creative officer, and Mitsuru Kubota as exec VP-managing partner. Phil Rubel, most recently chief operating officer at Interpublic's McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Tokyo, will join them as managing director and representative director to focus on international client relationships such as Timberland, United Airlines and Citibank.
