FedEx drops BBDO in 3 regions

[London] FedEx has dropped Omnicom Group's BBDO network across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and appointed independent London agency Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest to handle its $16 million account in the three regions. VCCP, founded by Rooney Carruthers, former executive creative director, Interpublic Group of Cos.' Foote, Cone & Belding Worldwide, San Francisco, with three other partners in January 2002, will lead creative work and link up with other independent shops in key cities for local interpretations. VCCP beat Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Omnicom-backed Campbell Doyle Dye and incumbent Omnicom's Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO to win the pitch.
