WPP Group as expected sold Cordiant Communications Group's 25% stake in Zenith Optimedia to Publicis Groupe for $115.5 million. ZenithOptimedia posted 2002 revenue of $228 million and after-tax profits of $20 million. ... ZenithOptimedia won media planning for the $50 million U.K. do-it-yourself retailer B&Q. Cordiant's Bates U.K. previously handled media planning and creative, which has moved to WPP's J. Walter Thompson, and ZenithOptimedia was already B&Q's media buying agency.
