Dentsu, Tokyo, hopes to promote and develop its sports-marketing business in Asia by acquiring a 30% stake in World Sport Group Holdings, the parent of World Sport Group, a sports marketing and management agency operating primarily in Asia. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. ... SAS Scandinavian Airlines, the national carrier for Sweden, Denmark and Norway, tapped WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson network to develop advertising and marketing for the airline in the Nordic region. Halbye, Kaag & Thompson, Copenhagen, will take lead-agency status on the Nordic SAS account, which was previously held by Interpublic Group of Cos.' Lowe Brindfors in Sweden. The budget for the business is undisclosed.
